Four things we absolutely need to know about Faith – inspired by Pastor Chris’s message this past Sunday…
We can learn a lot of things from Jonathon, in 1st Samuel Chapter 14 regarding Faith.
A. Faith requires you to relieve yourself of doubt!
Remember these words, Nothing is too big to give to God, or as Pastor Chris likes to say; “little is much, when God is in it”
Another thing you have to know is; God never meant for you to lose…
When He created you;
- He created you to prosper,
- He created you to succeed,
- He created you to experience victory,
- He created you to set goals and achieve them,
- He created you to understand His vision for your life and run with it.
B. Faith requires that you be able to make clear-cut anointed decisions!
It is very important that we wait for guidance before we act. We need to make sure that what we plan is in harmony with God’s will.
We need to be in constant communication with God so that when decisions need to be made, we are able to make them and still be in His will.
Most people tend to handle situations in different ways:
Some people tend to REACT – ACT – then PRAY, others have learned to REACT – PRAY – then ACT.
If we do not PRAY before we ACT, and search God’s guidance, most of the time we will mess it all up…
C. Faith requires you to do what you’ve never done!
Have you ever felt that God is asking you to “Step out in Faith” and you choose to just keep doing things the easy or as I like to call it “The way we always did it”. Remember God knows what is best for us, do not ever doubt God when he challenges you to do something a little differently than we are used to.
D. Faith will turn your dreams into reality!
It does not matter who the people say you are, when the King of Kings approves you and what you are doing, HIS WORD IS UNCONTESTED!
Pastor Ken mentioned last week that there are four types of people in the church:
- Cop-outs – They have no goals & no commitment
- Hold-outs – They have the ability and talent, but refuse to use it
- Drop-outs – They have huge intentions but have small production
- All-outs – These people commit their whole heart and accomplish God’s will
How do you handle what God has given you to do? If you have any dreams, and I know we all do, next time God puts you up to the challenge to do things His way, Be an All-out and I promise you He will not let you down…

Hey man. Thanks for the summary here. I love what PC said about us being created to walk in faith, not in fear. We are actually hardwired to ‘walk by faith.’ Super cool. I’m reading regularly. Thanks for the constant encouragement.
