Our Pastors are under a lot of scrutiny at all times. They are scrutinized by their congregation, they are scrutinized by their peers and they are scrutinized by their closed friends.
We should all realize that the primary source of our Pastors’ vision is supposed to come from the Holy Spirit. At times, when all of the scrutiny is placed upon our Pastors, it can really take its toll.
I have been blessed with a wonderful prayer book, Prayers for our Pastor. Which are available @ http://www.renewalministries.com/store/.
There is a prayer on page 20 that I have been praying for the last 2 weeks. It is time that we all take this prayer and start praying for our Pastors.
Feel free to comment and share your thoughts and any other prayers you would like to share.
Insert you Pastor’s name in the blank spot.
Lord, I stand against the enemies of my pastor’s prayer life – “busyness” (Acts 6:2-4), compulsions, compromise (Acts 5), unnecessary phone calls, chronic counselees, fatigue, sleepiness, (Matthew 26:41), appetites, television, late meetings, over-commitments, and doubt. Let nothing hinder ________________’s time with you. Let him/her rise up to seek you (Mark 1:35), pray with other pastors (Acts 1:14) and pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
To God be ALL of the Glory

we pray 4 our pastor’s daily, and only him, but those 2 wonderful wife’s they blesssed with, 4 behind every good pastor is a GREAT wife, and as a matter of fact those 3 brothers hit the lotto when it comes to wife’s and children, so we pray to God, daily, to bless them and their families

Jeff, number 3 prayer is also a great one. It reads:
Father, I thank you that no weapons formed against my pastor will prosper. Every tongue raised against him will be cast down. Rumors and gossip will be turned aside. For _______ will be still before the Lord and wait on you. He will dwell in the shadow of the most high, God, and will be delivered from terror, darts of doubt, and diseases(Ps.91: 5-6) Set your angels about _________(Ps. 91:11), and no power of the enemy shall harm him (Luke 10:19).

I agree totally that we should continue to pray fervantly for our pastoral staff at DLC. And especially for Lead Pastor J. Ken Hitte.
Pastor Ken, for you I claim God’s promise of victory prophesied in Isaiah 43:2,”When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ?
Pastor, God promises victory for you and yours.
Thanks Jeff for openning up this topic.

Thanks Jeff for truly being an armor bearer to Pastor Ken and I. We covet your prayers and know that you are interceding on our behalf. Likewise, we pray for you often and always believe God’s best for your life! We are more effective when we are together in mind and purpose. Thanks for standing behind the vision.
Love you brother,
PC

Hey guys. You are such a blessing. Thank you for your prayers. I totally feel them each day. I see God’s hand of protection and grace on my life so often and I attribute so many of the good things that happen to me a direct result of your prayers and concern. I love you all from the depths of my heart. God bless you. See you this weekend.
